On the Island of Lapapa (which does not even appear on the map), everything has meaning. There is no question that has no answer, and no one asks, "What is the reason?" And this, of course is thanks to the famous, mighty, great, strange sorcerer, who lives on the top of the mountain, who years ago, it is said, gave an answer, a reason and explanation for everything.
Tommy, a boy who has escaped alone on a boat from a terrible war, lands on the island. Tommy is determined to get to the sorcerer to get answers to questions he could not answer on his own. On his way to the sorcerer, he sets out on a marvelous journey. He encounters strange and colorful "Lapapapa’s" - a bunch of talkative trees that are afraid to turn into shelves, a sad fisherman who sails with his owl on the "River of Longing", industrious ants that work day and night building the wonderous “Ant Town” etc.
Tommy embarks an exciting journey of growing up and without paying attention he changes the way the inhabitants of the island see the world. An amusing and colorful musical celebration, about a child who seeks meaning, and on his way gives meaning to everyone and everything he encounters.
